There are two goals on the table:
1) Use a financial scholarship to encourage student bloggers.
2) Send #SAChat members to big conferences on scholarship.
Hey everyone
So my thought behind creating a scholarship for professionals would be to allow professional the opportunity to attend a national conference (maybe for first time people) and blog/tweet about the experience.
I am thinking that partial funds could be raised by getting the national organizations or actual conference to sponsor us. The rest of the funds could possibly be raised by increasing webinars or finding other orgs to sponsor. My initial thought was $1000.00 to the recipient then that kind of takes away variances in travel but pays a significant amount.
Maybe we can get multiple orgs ACPA, NASPA, ACUI, NACA, etc to work with us and offer multiple scholarships.
